Insurance

Insurance coverage for dizziness and balance disorders.

For Dizziness healthcare most of the services are covered through all insurances.  Please however, you will want to verify your insurance coverage with our medical care office manager.

Medicare and Medicaid coverage.

Unfortunately, Medicare does not have any hearing aid benefits. . Medicaid often does cover hearing aids and related services for adults, and must cover them for children.

Medicare does not cover hearing aids. Early intervention through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)  provides coverage for certain costs associated with audiology services. Early intervention services are provided through either your local school system or your local health department, depending on the state in which you live. Check with your early intervention service coordinator to determine whether your child qualifies for early intervention and what is covered.

Insurance coverage through private health care plans.

Some private health care plans cover the costs of audiologic tests, a hearing aid evaluation, and even partial or full coverage of a hearing aid. Be sure to check with your health insurance company or your employer’s benefits manager to find out. You may wish to advocate for inclusion of audiology services in your plan if they are not included.

The first step for financial assistance for hearing aids is to check with your health insurance provider to see if there is hearing aid coverage.  Our medical care office manager can also verify your benefits with you during your office visit.  You should bring your insurance card with you to your office visit to help aid in verification.

Deductible

If you have a deductible to meet you must meet that first.  If you haven’t met your deductible then that amount will be subtracted from the amount of coverage an you will receive for the hearing aids.

We accept ALL INSURANCES  however, not all insurance cover hearing aids. The most common that do at this time are as follows:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Aetna
  • United Health Care
  • Cigna
  • GEHA (Government Employees Health Assoc.)
  • Mail Handlers Benefit Plan

*Please call us with your insurance info and we can verify your Hearing Aid benefits with the insurance company

If your insurance denies payment for your hearing aids?

We will re-submit the claim and appeal the denial if needed. We will do our best to make sure that the insurance company pays the full amount of the benefit. Frequently, when full payment is not received it is most likely due to the deductible not being met.
